My light bar is a little loose on the back fender and I can't seem to figure out how to tighten it up...almost feels like a lock-washer holds it on, but I can't see in there well enough to tell.
How do I tighten those up so the bar is nice an snug?
I had the same problem last week after having my bike painted. I would reccomend taking the bolts completely out (one at a time) and putting locktite on them, then replacing them. You can get to them pretty easily from the rear of the bike between the tire and fender. I thought they were 14's though.
So, leather saddlebags, seat, and windshield bag are cleaned and protected and now light bar is tight. Now, just to wait for the fairing to show up and some WARMER temps...THEN I'll be all set!
On my 2005 road king when you take the tail light completely off which is real easy you are left with a nice open square hole given you easy access to those bolts for future tightening or lock tighting...fyi.
