As many have mentioned, checking/addind air to the 09 Ultra is not even close to being fun. Anyone have found any tips or different gauges and chucks to do this job with. I sort of worm my air gauge down through one of the slots in the disc to do this but always seem to let more air out than put in. Anyone use the HD air gauge with the flex hose, does it make it a little better?
The key to the HD gauge is the 90 degree head. I finally sprung for one...for my Ultra! Albeit checking air pressure is still a bit of a pain, just not as much.
I used to think that this was the most rediculous post I had ever seen until got a 2009 FLHX. I literally had to lie on the ground to check and fill the tires.

Yep, do the same thing......Do it before every ride but it's worth it knowing the pressure is right....
I went to an auto parts and got a flexible add on hose that they use for duallies, those truck with two tires on the rear. Also got a bleeder guage. Air up the tires and then with the flex hose guage it up and bleed to your desired psi. When you unscrew the flex hose you will not lose any air.
For checking I use this or the HD gauge on an 09 RKC.....Adding I found this swivel attachment at Home Depot for $3.00
I have gotta pick up one of those swivel attachments. Adding air is a royal PITA using a standard attachment. And checking even with the HD gauge with the braided hose is not much fun either.
