Have any of you Touring owners ever owned a 2007 or up Dyna model, such as a Wide Glide or Lowrider? If so, does the motor smooth out like the Electras above 2000 RPM or so? ( I now have an 07 FLHTC ) Doing a little research before going later this week to look a 2007 over. Thanks
Had an 02 Dyna and went to 06 EGC and never looked back. Yes, the motor smooths out nicely. The biggest adjustment for you will be the extra weight, but you will get used to it. No comparison between the two on longer rides.
Went from a '07 Dyna Super Glide Custom to an '09 RKC. I can't really speak for the '07 tourers, but an '09 tourer is about as "smooth" as your gonna get in all aspects! Nice & day difference bewteen a Tourer & a Dyna.
went from 07 Street Bob (with apehangers) to an 08 Ultra. the bobber was a great, fun bike to tool around town on. the ultra, though, is truly made for the open highway. when doing over 65-70mph on a long stretch, nothing even compares. just my 2cents.
I went from a 2000 wide glide to a 07 raod king classic.
and yes the motor smooths out. Dude you are in for one
heck of a nice surprise if you go from dyna to touring
I've had an 02 Lowrider and an 06 FXD35. Sold the '35 and bought an 07 'Glide.
Absolutely great bike, the day after I picked her up I did 400 miles up into Scotland. No aches or pains,a breeze. If you're planning long trips it's a "no brainer"
Don't really understand your question - it's not clear whether you're asking about Dynas or Eglides. Either way they are both rubber mount motors and they both shake at idle smoothing out as soon as the rpm's rise. Dynas handle pretty well but also suffer from chassis wobble just like Eglides.
i did not muck around and went straight to tourers/baggers/dressers....sooner or later, we all end up in one anyway. (Well, I did have a Virago 750 before the Heritage )
1st HD was a Heritage Classic, then an Electra Glide Standard, RK Standard and now an RKC. c'mon over, we await you with open arms

I'v got an 07 FLHTC...was wondering about how the Dyna's did with vibrtion above 2000 RPM. If the motor smooths out like the Electras then maybe the only diff. is the fairing and bags etc. I'll test drive to see..thanks.
