Default street glide forks.

Hey all, tried several seaches but no luck. Does anyone know if the forks on a 07 street glide are lower than that of the other touring bikes? Or is it just the rear shocks 1 inch lower. thanks.

Positively the forks are around 1" lower on a street glide than an Electra Glide. This is done by shorter bottom springs (the small ones).

I was always told the forks are an inch shorter. I have my standard lowered an inch and a quarter in the rear, lower than a street glide, but when I sit on a street glide, they feel lower to me. I have a street glide seat on my standard BTW.

I have been thinking about smoothing out the ride on long trips 2 up and thought adding the 12 inch standard rear shock from an ultra , ect... would help . If the forks are also lower that would cause issue with balance front to back. Anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.

I have always been told that the rear shocks on a SG are 12" and the fork is the same length as other touring bikes.

No sir...this is incorrect.
Look in your Parts Manual.
Same Part Numbers for all fairing bikes.

Forks are the same across the board for the fairing models.

Seems as though there are many opinions on this matter ,which is why i finally ended up starting a post on it .Many have added 12 inch shocks to a street glide . I do not want to do so if the front is lowered cause the azz end would end up to tall .

Trust me, guy.
Forks are the same on ALL fairing bikes.
Open a Parts Manual up.

SG's already come with 12" shocks.
