Remove lower in summer?

Most of the guys I know leave them on here in GA. And in case you didn't know, we get a little toasty here during the summer.

I usually wear my riding boots. Don't think taking the lowers off would make much of a difference. Vents open would circulate the air though.

Year round in Kansas. 'cause I won't give up my Hotgunes speakers. But they don't seem to make it hotter anyway.

i took mine off last year and didnt think it would matter much but it made a HUGE difference, in the bike keeping coo, and cooling me down,,,,,heck yeah as soon as it gets hot this year,,,off they go!

I take mine off in the summer, the heat isn't a problem for me, but it does help keep my wife's ankles much cooler, and I would also think the engine as well.

If mommy and the engine ain't happy............ you all know the rest.

I figure if it was meant to be removed during the summer the manual would have mentioned it, but since it doesn't I to leave mine on year around, just open all the vents!!

Ask the tech to show you in the owners manual about removing the lowers in the summer. I have done both, and it's just personal preference. Especially if they are off and you run through a big thunderstorm!!

I take off mu soft lowers when it gets above 65. Hd recommends it...I roll them up and put them in the saddle bag..

mine come off cuz it gets hot with them on but during the rain your feet will be alot dryer.
