I used to live in Park City. Not a very long riding season at that elevation. But it sure is pretty. Jackson Hole is very nice!

Yeah, great place to live. But I won't lie. Taking up snowboarding this past Winter sure made the months pass faster. The Summers are why I'm here. We get 3-4 months of sunny skies. Just incredible.

Mike,

I have an '09 FLTR w/ lowers. Our lowers don't come equipipped w/ vents and I don't plan on installing any until something comes out that I like.

A few things I do/have done to keep both my motor and yours truly cooler w/ lowers installed:

1. I always run a good quality oil and filter (I use Mob1 and a K&N filter)

2. Remove the fork baffle in warmer weather to improve air flow across the top of the motor.

3. Installed the Soos 1" foot board extension kit (nice product folks) so I can hang my feet outside of the lowers when it warms up - I don't like hiway pegs so that's not an option for me.

4. I always wear a pair of good quality riding boots that help insulate my feet and lower calfs from the excessive engine heat.

5. I make a habit of rolling the throttle forward at red lights to utilize the rear cylinder cut-out feature.

I wish I had the vents as you do but I make out pretty well by follwing the easy steps above.

Mark

I live in Florida and I do not take off the lowers, but I simply remove the doors. That really opens up the air flow, and real easy

The lowers keep bugs off the engine chrome. On my previous bike I had tons of baked bugs on the side engine chrome parts. With the Ultra, the lowers stop most of them and they are easier to clean.
