Default Road Glide mirrors are not wide enough

Hello all. Gotta problem and im seeking some help from all of you. 2009 RG, when riding, all i see out of my mirrors is mostly my arms. Now im 6'5, 250 lbs., so im not a small person. Does anyone have any suggestions on a different style mirror that extends out farther?

Ultra mirrors are the same. There are mirror extenders out there from HD but i've heard some don't like the wind from them.

The stock handlebars should be on a dirtbike. I just finished putting 10" mini apes on my 09. It brings your elbows in and yours hands up a little. Should work better in ergonomics and rear view for the stock mirrors.

go to your nearest "big dog" dealer and check out the stock mirrors on one of them. they are taller and longer than H-D mirrors. work out very nicely. kevdon.

The best thing I did with my mirrors to make them usable was to put them on a set of Chubby mini apes. The WO517's to be exact! All I could see with the stock bars was the top of my shoulders no matter how I adjusted the mirrors. IMO, they look great, feel great, and I CAN USE MY MIRRORS!

had these mirrors with longer stem on my RG, worked perfect (I go 264lbs, not a tiny guy)

The Soos 2 inch extentions solved this problem for me. Nice fit and finish too.

I had the same problem. I chose to put these long stem mirrors on. I also liked the larger mirror area.

I thought I'd have to change the mirrors but after the apes, stock mirrors are fine for me.
