So the 1.5 inch drop is 11.5" and 3/4" shorter than the HD low profile shocks? That's what I wanted to know, thanks.
actually 1/2" lower than the low profile shocks. stock is 13", low profile is 12". and before anyone gets bent about a 1/4 inch, if you got short legs, it can make a difference.
I bought the 1.5 drop for my 07 SG & I ride both solo & two up. I've had them on about 1 yr & love them. I'm 5ft6in & I'm running a 21" front & stock 16" in the back. I've pushed my bike through many twisties between Orange County & Monterey Calif with 00000 problems.
I recently had my shocks lowered to 11' . I sent them a set of 12 3/4' and had them shortened. I think the ride is alot better solo and two up. Its not so squishy feeling. They were awsome to deal with and turnaround was less then two weeks.
did you send yours in or pay a core charge? i cant have my bike down for 3 weeks when its not raining.
yeah, i couldn't wait. so i bought the shocks from them. i just got the shocks yesterday and having the installed today. i only had to wait a week to get them once the order was place. i'm gonna send them my shocks and the discount and get the brace.
Bitchin Bagger shocks are great. I had them do my shcoks for my 08 RKC 1.5 inches. I now have the Harley frame scratch. Just have to watch your low speed turns
I wouldn't be doing the mod to the Profile lowering shocks on the bike, they would be on a stock set.
The shocks on the bike now (HD profile lowering) are fine and have no problems, except I'd like a bit lower for my God given inseam

So the ride was good compared to stock?
Sounds about right for us, and that's what they recommended for you?
Thanks for all the replies, got some good info.
If I decide on the Bitchin Bagger shocks, I would sell my shocks on the bike. They have Low miles(~4000) and I bought them new.
If anyone's interested, Pm me and let me know.
I had BB cut my stock shocks 1.5" on my EG classic and looks great and rides well. You have to make sure you have the right air pressure on shocks as I have noticed bottoming out riding solo but that was because the pressure was too low.
Gary here I have a 09 roadglide , and being 5'5' 175 , a light weight , Ron took a stock 97C shocks traded the 09 shocks they ride rougher than 97
C's or earlier shocks , I ask Ron i wanted 11.5 total length , basically cut them 1 1/4 inches , I usually run 5- 10 psi , had to run 20-25 psi to keep the thude out of my butt , was not totally , satisfied , I ride solo most of time , Ron said something about the stop in the shock I will give them once more change I think they will ride better with more oil , i have a 12 inch low profile set with 7.5 weight oil I mixed Amsoil shock therpy 10 weight and 5 weight , ended with 7.5 weight , I run 5-7 psi and ride great just not short enough, when he sends the back I vacumm out the fliud and i am sure he only puts in 9-10 ounces , I fill them up to the top , mount up and sit on and bounce out the excess , and low air is all needed , , I will posting the the CURE FOR THE 09TOURING BLUES FINALLY FOUND THE MAKINGS OF A SMOOOTH BIKE NOW , GARY
Ok I am confused and hope someone will set me straight.
I have an '98 RK Classic, which I understand is lower then the standard RK. When I'm two up it's about 330lb, combined.
If I want to drop the rear 1" - 1.5", what would be the length shock I would order?
TIA
