What air pressure does everyone run in their drop shocks from bitchin baggers? I just installed a set last night and wasnt really sure where to start at.
I just added the bitchin bagger 1.5" drop shocks to my Road King and I am completely satisfied. The wife and I w/ gear top close to 450lbs on the bike and I have not had any issues. I am running with 50lbs of pressure.
thanks I added the 1.5" drop shocks also. I only weigh @115lbs single and 2up maybe 230lbs. When they put together my shocks they went with a softer spring. I am going to try 20#s to start and go from there.
OK I tried 20psi seems to bottom out pretty easy. I guess I will just continue to increase pressure until it only bottoms out on the most severe bumps.
Just because you have "touring shocks" doesn't meant they are the "StreetGlide" ones. If they are the regular touring shocks, they are 1.5"-2" longer still.
Just so you know.
RKC to Touring shock = 1.5" lower
RKC to Street Glide shock = 3" lower.
I put a set of StreetGlide shocks on my dad's RKC and his dropped a full 3" lower!
I just got my shocks back from BB and will have them installed on my '98 RKC while the rear tire is changed next week. The invoice states 1.5" drop = 11.25". What would others suggest running for air # at 180lb one up and 340lb two up?
Thanks!
