Ordered a few things for my bike a couple weeks ago from chicago HD. I never checked the tracking on it, i wasnt in any big rush. Figured they would get here when they get here. Well today i decided to check the tracking number on it and Fed Ex tracking says they were delivered last saturday! never got anything! It said they were left at side door, which the house doesnt even have a side door! So i call fed ex and they say they are going to contact the driver to ask him if he dropped it at the right house??? WTF? obviously the driver thought he left it at the right house! This is so frustrating! Anybody else have any unfortunate expierences like this? If so how was the out come? Hoping i really dont get screwed here.
WOW. Exact same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, only with UPS. Ordered a part from a forum member, sent UPS, tracking number said it was delivered and left at the front door. WFT? I has home all day and in the garage working on the bike. The UPS truck never came by. Next day, the package magically appeared! Driver left it at the wrong place, 2 blocks away. Totally different address and all. The shipper has to start a lost package trace. Like Munch34m said, call Chicago HD and have them start the claim. They probably have dealt with this before and are well versed in it.
FedEx screwed up the delivery of my seat coming back from MCC last Sat. I was tracking in on the web and all of a sudden it shows "delivered". I was home so it wasn't delivered here. So I get in my truck and start to look for it on one of my neighbors doorstep and sure enough.....it was on the porch of the guy across the street! I'm # 10 and he's #17 so I can see where he'd confuse the numbers.
Long as the one who received it is honest you'll get the stuff. It happens to me all the time. My neighbor on 3rd ST gets my stuff all the time and I his! I have the same house # but I am on 2nd. Have you asked any of the neighbors??
Fed-sux, oops i mean fed-ex also lost a package of mine last year. Lucky for me the company i bought the item from just sent a replacement and then went after fed-sux, dang i did it again, i mean fed-ex.
I live just outside of a major city in the country and the driver in this area just doesnt seem to care. I have a couple of neighbors that ship and recieve stuff all the time, and we all have got to the point that if a company uses fed-ex as a shipping company, we will purchase from someone else just so we dont have the headache of all the problems.
Last year, UPS sent a package back to shipper marked as "address doesnt exist", WTF? Turned out to be a new driver who couldnt find my address, so he just said it has a bad address. Guess they never heard of Mapquest. Oh well, got it a week later.
Deja vu all these stories sound o so familiar Fedex had my package as delivered April 10 well when I called one of our site members (Firecap great person to work with) on april 12 he jump Fedex like a pitbull. Long story short it had not been delivered the driver took it back to their terminal so I told them to leave it there and I would pick it up myself.
Fed ex is the worst. We built a new home few years back and a week or so after we moved in, our title company overnighted our final draw check to us. Fed ex driver left a $50,000 check on the neighbors porch. By the way, it was a signature required delivery and the driver just left it.
about a week ago on Friday, I got two boxes from Fedex, one for me and one for someone else. It had to be within 3 minutes of the driver dropping the box on my porch, I called Fedex to report it. They could not get the driver to come back and pick it up, the same day. The guy who was waiting on the box stopped over a bit later to pick it up.
