Default Helmet Problem

Have any of you lady riders or men's significant other passengers bought the new Harley Women's Bling Skyline 3/4 Helmet? I won't bother outlining the problem until I see if anyone has them...

Same here but since I got my new Head Trip carbon she wonts one. I have tried to get my wife to ride with me for years and now I can't go with out her.LOL I need a new jacket and she gets one instead. But all is good she's happy and so am I. So whats the problem other than heavy shakes in the wind and can't wear her sunglasses with it.

Okay..here's the story. My wife was wearing an HJC full face helmet size small. In the HD dealership, she tried on the the small Bling 3/4 and it seemed to be too loose according to the salesperson. Her full face size small was also too loose and she was looking for a better fit. She then tried on the extra small which fit snug but not too tight. She bought that one. Now after wearing it for about an hour on the road, she feels it pressing into her forehead and after she removed it her forehead was all red from the pressure. The salesperson said that even though it was snug, it would loosen up after some time. She has now worn it on two trips for about four hours total and it still presses her forehead.

If she tries to move the helmet, it does move enough indicating to me that it is not too small. Anyway, to make a long story short, she cannot keep wearing it without developing a headache.

According to the data on this helmet, it was developed for a woman's head shape and it can be customized. I am curious if anyone else experienced any problems and if anyone has any suggested solutions. Incidentally 'Missile" she can wear her sunglasses okay and she never mentioned any shaking. Her old full face did shake because it was too loose.

SAME PROBLEM
I removed the inside liner and trimed the stryofoam untill it fit. I just trimmed the very front and now it is perfect.
I wish we could make the straps longer.

I thought those had thickness pads of different sizes you could put in to make the fit better? In your wife's case, get one a little larger then use the pads to customize the fit. If I'm way off base here disregard what I said.

Just pull back the liner and trim the foam with a dremel. Just a little bit at a time.

Most of the helmets we have owned could cause a headache, when new, even though they were the right size....the right size just hurts until your head breaks it in. To shorten break-in time we cram pillows into the helmet tightly in the direction of the discomfort: width or length. Leave it this way for about one week and then check the fit. Repeat as needed until you get the right amount of crush. From that point on the helmet will not cause a problem.

Use the backside of a spoon (Just a regular tablespoon) and press it against the inside of the helmet to reshape the foam.

+1...this is your best option and will pretty much do the same as your head! Using a dremel or another tool to carve out the foam, while a good idea, will compromise the foam structure. The spoon idea isn't too bad either. Remember, anytime you change the foam, by taking some out, dropping your helmet and cracking the foam, you compromise the helmet!
