Default 08 road king handle bar swap problems-need help

I switched to klockworks ergo bars-very nice ...ergos. turned the key-did not hear the fuel pump pressurize. check the kill switch-it was on. clutch side blinker works, brake side does not. no blown fuses and main fuse was removed before work started.(just like in the manual. I did separate the green fly by wire connector, but di not thought I damaged it-it snapped right back into. I read bert's comment needing a throttle pos jumper harness and ordered one- my part number is 70415-08 and only 23 bucks(his was 80)-so I don't think it was the same part that the parts guys told me I needed. I did not crimp the wiring harness with the brake clamp when putting it back together, either. I did separate the molex lead to get some slack to jimmy the internal wires back and forth, and I used a wire to pull the fly by wire thorugh. I did not remove the tank and I do not suspect the tipover device. I did try to reset the computer by turning the ignition on/off at 10 sec intervals, but that did nothing. any advice?

you said you didn't life your tank so this may not apply but is the only think I can think of. mines an 02 so might be different than yours but on mine, there's a wire on the left side of the tank that runs the fuel pump. it has a small inline harness that should be disconnected if following the process outlined in the manual. did you reconnect that wire?

Default I don't think I disconnected that wire

but I'll check. would that affect the throttle side blinker not working, while the left one does? btw, I don't recall seeing that in the manual. I did pull the main fuse before any wrench twisting, ala the manual. thanks

the directions for pulling that harness apart are in the manual under lifting/removing the tank since the wire doesn't have enough play to allow the lifting the tank without disconnecting it. not sure the exact section or page. but, no that shouldn't have anything to do with your turn signal. The whole handle bar replacement process is pretty straghtforward so I'm thinking you must have forgot to reconnect something. go thru and recheck all connections.

something else I just thought of. you didn't mention what you did with your swtiches/brake lever housing. obviously, you had to take them off but did you reuse them or replace with aftermarket? did you have to extend wires? another area I would definitely focus on as something there may be not quite right. good luck and keep me posted.
