Is anyone running the X-factor fork cartridges or the Traxxion Dynamics fork cartridges ? I am in the market for front fork upgrade. I have the race-tech fork kit and am not happy at all. I also lowered the front 1-1/2". If anyone has ANY experience with either, would you PLEASE chim in and give me your opinions. I just bought a pair of Ohlins shocks (12") and can't wait to get them on my bike. I have the Progressive430 shocks on the rear now, and they are too short (11-1/2") and the bike sits too low. I am selling the shocks in the for sale section, or you can PM me if interested. $300.00 shipped. I paid $500.00 a few months ago... Thanks alot, Shaun

I don't have any knowledge of Traxxion on the Harley, but I can tell you that I changed the entire suspension system on my Wing to Traxxion after hearing fantastic stuff on the Wing forums. I found very little difference between the OEM and Traxxion, but then I don't ride real aggressively so that might be the difference. To me, it wasn't worth the $2500 it cost.

The harley forks are so bad, anything would be better than the way my bike feels. I would think that the gold wing forks, started off alot better than the harley forks. Hopefully, someone will have some more input... THanks for the reply, Shaun
Traxxion kit for harley is $999.99. from Traxxion.com
The X-factor kit is available from motorcyclemetal.com for $1299.95
Might consider a Racetech springs and Gold valves kit for your Harley, around $275 for the kit supposed to make a huge difference over the stock mush sticks! This is the route I'm going. http://race-tech.com/ http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/tec...tor/index.html
an install, not on a Harley but will give you an idea of what they thought of them!
Up side down is the only way to fly. Motorcycle metal handles the conversion ,looks like a bolt on deal , espcially for someone like yourself that has as many friends in the motorcycle industry as you do.
Call Traxxion and ask to speak to Lee aka "sportryder" He has done some work for me and he knows about suspension!! Tell him Jody from the FZ1OA sent you.

I have the race-tech gold valves and springs in my bike now. It's really not that much better than stock was. I was disapointed in them to say the least. DON'T waste your $$$. It's alot of labor on a FLHX/ultra to take it down far enough to get the forks off, you should save your money. It's kinda hard to polish a turd (stock design), easier to cough up a little more money and do it right. (fork cartridges) IMO

If the triples didn't push the forks/fairing, so far forward, I woul've already had those on my bike. Just looks wierd to me, I'm sure it handles like a dream, but I have to look at it too....
Howard (motorcyclemetals.com) has been real helpful and I'm probably going to go with the x-factor kit, since all the components are made from Ohlins parts. I should be recieving my Ohlins 12" shocks by thursday of next week, I can't wait. Just heard about the Traxxions and was wondering if anyone has them already with some good feed back...
