It is called the Hybrid. I bought one about two weeks ago $200. It is the lightest helment I have ever had. You can tell it by a little recurve on the back to keep the wind moving off.

Is it a helmet offered through HD? I think I found the one you referred to. Good looking helmet, but looks like it a larger overall helmet than the ACC helmets. Hard to tell by just pictures. Will have to check it out next time in the stealers shop.

After 30 years of Bell fiberglass full face lids for the helmet states and cold or wet rides I bought a Bell carbon fullface for 5,000 mile trip. Fit was fine and much lighter but pipes resonated inside helmet and my ears rang for a week after trip. So I went to haf shell and although I feel dorky it works when I need it and I'm looking for the "Hybrid" type. I ride mostly without for it is my choice. Helmets have their place if you wish.
Bill,
Yes it was an HD helment. It is a little larger helmet than ACC helments. It is very light and very well padded. To me the wind doesn't catch it like other helments I have had. I was riding this past weekend in 30+ gusts with no problems. We here in IL don't have to wear a helment, and I used to not. But, with all of the cell phone drivers these days I always wear a helment. This is the first helment that I can wear all day without getting a headache from the wind tugging at it. Like I said it was around $200 and has a nice HD emblem on each side (tastful). Hope this helps.
I would be interested in knowing about this helmet
Thanks
dealer here calls it the new "hybrid" model.. cheaper than the Kevlar by about 30%... but still has the Kazzoo look... not sure who makes them but they do have the HD logo on them.

Tks Tom!
Yeah, I was in Jacksonville FL the last couple of days on business and dropped in on a Dealer there. They had several on the shelf they called Hybrid. I did see one that matches your description too. They are lighter, but to me, not as light as a Daytona CF helmet a buddy has. I wish I could find a ACC dealer to try one out and see how they compare too.
I'll be in IL next week on business, and I know there's a dealer in Bloomington, so I'll drop in there and talk to them too...
