Smile sanity check on 103 build?

Finally broke in my eclectic build and redynoed. Not sure it was optimal for performance (90.6 hp/100.3 tq, STD 5, 25 MPG) and would value some expert opinions! Wondering if:

1. I've topped out and
2. if so, what is the constraining factor (lift, pipes, TB) to address for increases w/o changing cam?

DATA: 103" bore, 10.5 COMPRESSION wiseco pistons, woods tw6-6, supertrapp 2:1 w/ 20 discs, SERT, SEAC w/ KN filter, mild head work.

thoughts, please!

Those numbers, and the gas mileage, seem really low for your build. I think it needs re-tuned!

Post your dyno sheet.......it'll tell a story.

My bike came with the 103" (04 Screamin Eagle Electra Glide) and I put the K&N high flow A/C, HD Race Tuner and V&H Pro Pipe (heads haven't been off of it!), adjustable push rods and Fueling Ravera oil pump, Freedom Gear Drive cams. It's pumping 104 HP and 116.4 ft. lbs. TQ.

Supertrapp is a tuneable exhaust if you (the tuner) wants to take the time to tune it. Not the best looking exhaust, but one of the best performance wise.....just because it is tunable.

Is this a 96 that you built up or is it a motor that came 103" (like mine)? What head pipe are you running in front of the Supetrapp?
Why are you opposed to changing cams?

Give us a little more information. I'm not an "expert" but do have a little experience to share.

Open Road,

Thanks for the reply. I'll post the dyno tonight as soon as I figure it out. The sheet has no AFR graph, and the HP TQ lines cross at 4250 RPM!?? I do have the 30 tooth transmission sprocket, tho don't know if that matters.

your numbers are more like i expected.

It's a built up 96" with the head pipes that come with the supermeg. Can't seem to find any specs on the ST website. Will call tomorrow during work hours.

Didn't want to spend another $800+ to buy, install and retune another cam. This one was $400.

Who did the tuning with the SERT? The right dyno guy can make a huge difference in the performance. My friend with an 01 SERG did it three times to find the right guy. He ended up at Bob's in San Marcos. It has never run so strong since he had them do the work. He tried the place on Aero Dr in Kearny Mesa and another guy in North County before he found Bob's.

I think you have one of the best torque cams on the market already.

If that's the dyno sheet for your bike, then it's showing just about 98HP and 106TQ. That's about right for that build. Latus HD has some of the best tuners in the country. Did they do the work on the engine also?

If you are only getting 25 mpg, it is running far too rich. Pull the dipstick and determine if it smells like gas. If it does, it's running so rich that unburned gas is contaminating your oil and preventing the oil for lubricating as it should, including washing the oil from the cylinder walls.

Worry about that lousy gas mileage and get that fixed.
