The first problem is you need special HID bulbs to clear your back inner fairing. I have done many and you need to make sure you buy the correct bulbs. If you do not utilize research than you will be stuck with a fairing that does not go on sitting in your closet, but you did get a good deal on it, however.
If you get a kit than make sure you can return it if it does not fit.
I'm thinking about adding high intensity lights to my Road Glide and see there are a lot of options, some a lot more $ than others.
What did you use and what did you pay?
I have them in my RG. One word of advice...buy a set of HIDs that have ***2 Filaments**!
Don't get the motorized kind that move in/out to change the focal point from high to low beam. The beauty of the setup I have is that if an HID bulb burns out a ballast dies, I can flip to high beam and have a standard H4 halogen bulb and not be stranded w/out lights.
They fit fine no problem. I mounted both ballast together w/3M mouldnig tape and then mounted that to the side of the radio mount inside the fairing. Fits fine and light is unlike any silverstar bulb or pseudo-HID.
