Default RE: Helmet Speakers Headset Use

Mark: I can help.

the switches under the instrument panel are from left to right: far left, driving lights on/off, next speaker switch, 3 positions: all the way forward, helmet speakers only, middle position is for external speakers and helmet speakers together, and the third position is for external speakers only.

On the tank, the intercom switch sets up the intercom function. Basically, it turns it on, and gives you the voice actuated function setting. You can set the volume with the left up/down switch on the handlebar, and the actuation level for Vox at the forward/back switch.

The CB switch turns on the CB radio so you can set it up. Volume is controlled again by the up/down switch on the left handlebar, and the squelch which tunes out static is set with the forward/back switch. Once you have set up the CB, you can return to music radio and keep the CB on. It will interrupt the music radio when a signal comes through. You do this on the right handlebar thumb switch located behind the cruise controls. Push once for each function: fm, am, weather band, tape player. Once you have selected the band you want, you can tune via the same switch by moving it up/down.

The intercom functions is always on while the radio system is on. You can use the VOX feature, or the Push To Talk switch which is the left handlebar forward/back switch (push it in). The same switch is used to talk on the CB.

Your passenger has controls too. They work the same way.

Hope this helps. Order an owner's manual if you don't have one.

Ride safe.
