Default Leather covers for Hard bag lids

Anyone using the new leather covers for the hard bag lids. H-D or Kuryakyn either one. I am wondering what type of marks if any they leave on the paint when removed? Let me know.

Never seen leather ones. I have the HD vinyl ones. They have never harmed my paint.

I use Lid Covers from Ridetek. Like 'em better than the HD ones. The secret is to put a few good coats of wax on prior to install. Don't have any problems with mine.

I got the ones from Mustang. You just need to take them off if they get wet. Otherwise,as long as they are on tight-should be no problem.

The HD ones work fine, they use velcro. I have had them on for over 3 yrs. A couple of tips, figure out where the velcro needs to go, put the strips on, and do not attach the covers for 24 hours to let the glue setup. That the covers before you put them on and lay them in the hot sun to wamr them up for a while, or throw them in the drier for 10 to 15 minutes. Good protection.

Stretch fit. No elastic or velcro. Just really well made.

I have the HD ones. They fit tight and no problems. I was worried about the abuse those lids take, that's why I got em.
