I ride an 08 Road Glide in Edmonton Alberta. Most of the roads here are so damn straight most of us are always looking for some twisties. When we find them we ride em hard and fast. I have followed the bagger wobble posts for the last year and recently decided to buy the progressive touring link. Thought process was all about insurance, well known company and $165 - a lot less than most of the braces out there. Bottom line was I had never felt the wobble but figured there were lots of knowledgeable guys here so I thought i would get some cheap insurance. Planned on installing it at the next service in about 2 weeks
Last weekend I decided to go for a short ride which included a double S bend. Hit the first turn at about 115k, about 72 mph, started the second and had major butt pucker. Front of the bike decided to go one way and the rear the other. Ended up one lane over - could not do anything about it, just avoided going off the road. I assumed that this was the infamous bagger wobble.
Bottom line - I never want to experience that again and if the brace cures it but gives me some extra vibration so be it. If I can't stand the level of vibration then looks like a trade to an 09, which will suck as I luv the copper top colours,,,, hmmm maybe the candy root beer

Never had any issues with the wobble before but it only takes that one time. I was with my missus going round a slow bend and it almost painted us over the guard rails. Now I've got the progressive touring link fitted on and the biggest plus is that my wife is now on her own Harley, an 08' FatBob.
Don't know what caused it, never had the wobble before. I've been riding for about 20years now and on over 15 different bikes and never had it turn on me like this. So for all that are concerned, get it fitted and for all those that decide not to, I'm hoping you're as lucky as me when it does wobble. Vibrations are not a problem for me or I would have stuck to my Honda Goldwing with a flat six engine that purrs.

I'm still laughing about the rolex comment. I guess I am laughing at myself. To be honest my concern has been that my Submariner Rolex would self destruct with normal idle vibration. but 5 years later it still is running fine.. Oh yeah..the bike wobble. For riding hard in the twisties, I take my dyna. The Road glide is for cruising. I thill have fun dragging parts on the FLTR in hard turns, but not at 80MPH. Out for now...I have to get back to laughing at the Rolex comment.
Steve I assume that Steve is your name, I looked back at all the Steves we have sold a brace too in last 3 months and contacted them today, All were very satisfied with the Bagger-Brace.
I am the engineer/manufacturer of the Bagger-Brace, I was informed of this thread by another customer and after reading the comments I wonder why if you had an issue you never contacted me? Instead came on a public forum to proclaim its junk. Had you contacted me and were unhappy I would have issued you a refund which you are still welcome to take advantage of and I hope you do.
I will say if you are experiencing the kind of vibration that you have described and it was installed correctly then you very likely have some other issue.
Just to shed some light on the vibration issue as I see it, the reason that very little vibration is transferred to the chassis is because the vibration comes primarily from the rotating assembly ie: crank shaft, rods and pistons, that vibration occurs mostly in a circular motion along the length of the bike, the Bagger-Brace only contains the side to side movement at the rear and the rod ends allow the drivetrain to otherwise move freely just as it did before the Bagger-Brace was installed and lets not forget that there is 2 more links 1 at the front and 1 at the top of the motor doing the same job. Its certainly possible that a small amount of vibration may make its way along ALL of the links to the chassis but it would be very little and in most cases barely detectable.

Just my 2 cents worth. I purchased the bagger brace and lowered shocks from Ron 2 months ago and have put about 1000 miles on. I can honestly say the bike is like a new piece of machinery. It hugs the turns and tracks perfectly. I kept trying to feel the 'vibration' that I read about in this thread but I can't and haven't felt it at all. I asked my wife if she feels a difference and she said that the ride is better than it used to be. She said if anything the vibration is gone for her. She said her feet would tingle after about 50 -75 miles of riding but we put on 261 miles a couple weeks ago and she said she never had a tingle. I can't praise Ron and his staff more, he was pleasant to work with and the workmanship is A-1 in my book.
There are numerous threads here extolling the virtues of the Bagger Brace, and i'd be the next one in line to say its an excellent product, and does exactly whats its designed to do. I have not noticed any additional vibration since installing it, but i have noticed an improvement in how my bike tracks and handles. Even if its just the placebo effect causing it, the bottom line, i am happy and glad i spent the money!
Never experienced the wobble with my '03 EG and it sounds like I'm glad I didn't. Also very glad I bought an '09 SG. I will assure you all that the difference is night and day with the new chassis.
I put a Bagger Brace on my 07 UC and in the 4-5k miles since have not noticed any increased vibration. It did stabilize my bike in twisties and did give me full confidence in my bikes handling.
During my install I called Ron up to get a pointer or two and he couldn't have been more helpful. Had I thought the brace's installation caused me any vibration problems, I would certainly not have hesitated calling him back.
