I am the engineer/manufacturer of the Bagger-Brace, I was informed of this thread by another customer and after reading the comments I wonder why if you had an issue you never contacted me? Instead came on a public forum to proclaim its junk. Had you contacted me and were unhappy I would have issued you a refund which you are still welcome to take advantage of and I hope you do.

I will say if you are experiencing the kind of vibration that you have described and it was installed correctly then you very likely have some other issue.

Just to shed some light on the vibration issue as I see it, the reason that very little vibration is transferred to the chassis is because the vibration comes primarily from the rotating assembly ie: crank shaft, rods and pistons, that vibration occurs mostly in a circular motion along the length of the bike, the Bagger-Brace only contains the side to side movement at the rear and the rod ends allow the drivetrain to otherwise move freely just as it did before the Bagger-Brace was installed and lets not forget that there is 2 more links 1 at the front and 1 at the top of the motor doing the same job. Its certainly possible that a small amount of vibration may make its way along ALL of the links to the chassis but it would be very little and in most cases barely detectable.

Steve, I will be looking forward to speaking with you and assure you that even though I wasn’t able to win you over as a customer I stand behind the Bagger-Brace and will gladly buy it back.
In closing I want to say thanks very much to all who have purchased a Bagger-Brace, We have enjoyed serving you and your business is very much appreciated.

Excellent post.

Anybody with half a brain could see the intent of trolling from the 1st post from the OP. Of course, that would only excuse about 1% of this forum. The other 99% are pure brain dead..........excluding me of course.

Now I'm sure the OP has some more kool-aid for the anti-brace crowd.

I had a 96 RK for many years and keep thinking I needed to add some kinda brace to it. It rode fine but I did experience the wobble a couple of times. Once on a section of twisties that I was riding a little to hard and once on the interstate. I could never make a final decsion. Last year, I bought a 08 EG. Wow what a difference. I thought that the bike handled so much better than my 96 that I didn't need a brace anymore.

Well a couple of weeks ago, after reading on this forum, I email Ron about the bagger brace. I can't say enough about his patience and atitude. It was a pleasure talking with them and I went ahead and ordered the bagger brace.

I received it in a couple of days and the install went well. Excellent craftsmanship. Even though I thought this 08 rode smoothly, the bagger brace made a huge difference. The bike just feels tighter, hugs the road better and just performs better overall. IMHO it was money well spent.

I hit the over pass, which in california, since the big QUAKE, has a couple inch rise, which they just filled in a little to make the transition a little smoother. On a bike, it acts like a small jump, especially at that speed. If that wasn't enough, I was in the middle of a slight left turn. The bike was "WOBBLING" so bad, I thought I was done. I stayed in the throttle and driffted over a lane or two, and the wobble went away. I am telling you, for the ones that it hasn't happenned to, it IS for real. It isn't a part that doesn't do what it is suppose to do. IT WORKS... No wobbles since, even at the same spot and same speed. YES, I am that stupid to try my new brace out after I installed it. I wanted to see what it would react like. NO vibration to speak of on my bike, but the ALLOY ART brace is kind of different than most other braces, so I can't speak for any of the other braces... Shaun
Into a curve at 100 mph in the dark and hit basically a jump into a turn? WTH do you expect to have? I think any bike would do it brace or no brace or even a sportbike. You do got some ***** though Dude.

Smile Bagger Brace Off

Hii Steve,
Well I had the Progressive touring link fitted yesterday.
Can honestly say there is no increased vibration with this product on the bike. The RG is as smooth as ever.
As for handling there is a noticeable difference - the bike feels tighter and more solid. Previously there were times on a curve or turn that I felt the ***-end was kinda of sliding round the curve behind me - now its definitely solid & tight in the turns. Only one 2 hour ride so far so it may be a bit early to make judgement but so far so good
Ride safe

Mike

That sums it up for me. I just rode from Toronto to Florida and back two up and felt like the brace was a positive addition to the bike but there is a tiny bit of increased vibes.

Before installing the brace my bike's vibes would settle out at certain speeds/rpm's. Now it seems constant and that's unacceptable.

Anyone wanna buy it? Only used it for approx 150 mile ride this Saturday.

Black anodized without "Bagger Brace" logo etched into it

$225 Firm

If you have a Paypal account I'll split the shipping cost

Send me a PM if interested
