My 2000 Heritage is cherry (16K mi - aprox). Sinister blue. Many extra's, chrome, blah blah blah. Lets just say I wanted to trade it for a same vintage Electra Glide std or Classic (just examples). I love my bike. It runs perfect. I'd ride it anywhere right now. Just comfort wise (for me) the E/Glide is a better sitting posn. The handlebars are perfect (again - for me) I understand the EGlide bars won't work on a RoadGlide.
Would that be a realistic trade?
Ha ha !!! From what I've seen, 95 + % of those who go to touring models don't change to Softails or Dyna's etc. They stick to the Glides, maybe change from EGlide to RGlide or V/V. Or RoadKings !!! Gotta love those too.
Like I said though, out of the box, the EGlide config is most comfortable (for me)
