If you don't have an adjustable, and never have, then you won't miss it. But once you get the adjustable you'll want it again and again. I've put it on my '09 Ultra and use it regularly when on long trips. It gives you a chance to move just enough to make the longer rides more comfortable. And it's pretty easy to reach down and adjust while at speed.

I had the manual back rest on my 07 RKC 21k,manual back rest on 08 EGC 14k. I've got short legs 29" inseam so the manual setting in the middle works for me.

My wife is my adjustable backrest, and she does feel good, plus I get good massage along the way. HD can't sell anything better than that
