Default AVON vs. METZELER
i have an 03 electraglide that im putting a 21 wheel on and i going to run a 120/70-21 but i dont know which tire is better.. any ideas..

I like the Metzlers as they seem to last longer......ie. get more miles per tire. IMO

I have an 02 electra and I run the 21" with avon venom tire. I like it rides nice. imo

Avon really sticks in turns. Would not trad mine for anything else.

I have always used Metzlers. I have always been happy with them. Never used Avon.

I've ridden on Avon's for years, and have really liked them. Tires really hold the line in the twisties, and also good in rain. Usually get 10-11K on the rears and 14-15K on the fronts.

Pretty much what has already been daid. I really like the AVON tires, but the Metzlers last quite a bit longer than the avons. I preffer avons, but have metzlers on my bike right now. With the tire dilema that metzler is having, will probably put another set of avons on next time. I WISH I could get 10,000 miles out of ANY tire. I don't think Dunlops would last me more than 8,000 miles. I guess I'm a little hard on tires.
