Got tired of my ears bleeding from the V & H Big Shot Duals... and pulled the trigger on a set of Bub 7's for my 06.
Of course i got the set without the crossover pipe
I went with the Bub 7's because they make the pipes for Rinehart, and the price of the Bub 7 is about $500 less. I think Bub ripped off Rinehart with these pipes as they are almost identical with the exception of the tip of the muffler.
Easy install with okay directions (poor quality pictures) and have a very nice fit and finish once installed.
Awesome, I say awesome sound!!! very low and deep sound but still bark with a twist of the wrist.
They really brought out the best and worst (read MPG) in my 95" controlled by an Auto-tune ThunderMax.
Got 'em from Eastern Performance.... many here know of them... they have blowout prices on these systems... 600 to my door.
I put the Bub 7's on my '97 almost immediately after buying it. In my humble opinion, they are the best looking pipes out there. The sound is also fantastic.
As far as Bub ripping off Rinehart? Rinehart is just a model that Bub makes, just like '7'....Rinehart isn't a company name, just a model name. So we have Bub '7's instead of Bub Rineharts. Get it?
Congrats on your beautiful new pipes. I think I'm going to get another set for my '09 Street Glide as soon as I can.
After reading everything I could find, hanging out in Brian's HD parking lot and watching You Tube flicks about pipes, I picked up a set of Bub 7's at American Classic Motors on Saturday and put them on my 2009 Road King Classic Saturday night. Fantastic fit, finish, style and SOUND! The sound is deep and low without being loud and obnoxious. Not tinny highs like Rineharts. Pleasant through the gears and really smooth at speed.
Now, any ideas for pipes for my 2008 Saxon Sceptre?
Looking forward to a 1600 mile road trip over the long weekend...(a little more riding in the Black Hills, Northern Wyoming (Bighorn Nat'l Forest) and North Central CO.
