Four of us have stayed at Shade Valley in tents the last three years. If you get there before the rally starts, you will for sure find shade, which is a must if you don't want to roast. Cost is $15 per night or $95 for as long as you want to stay (week before and week of the rally). Best part is the showers are CLEAN and new. They have a lodge where you can stop and have a cold one, listen to live music and eat. You are about 8 miles out of Sturgis, but if you feel the urge to head into town and drink heavily, they have a bus that makes a trip back and forth every hour on the hour from the early afternoon to about 2 a.m. if I remember correctly. Have a great time.
