Have 03 R/K and for the first time tried to lock my forks, Key turns OK but nothing happens, try move wheel back and forth thinking that it might catch still no luck, any ideas? I would hate to have it all of a sudden lock while I'm riding.

Turn forks hard left lock and then try your steering lock. Sometimes the clutch cable will stop the forks from going full left lock check that also

 

ditto on that. my guess is your clutch cable it hitting the rubber steering stop on the left fork tube.

DO NOT use it. It's a pain in the azz if it gets jammed and it will.
