Default Frickin Fork Lock

Guys,
All of a sudden my fork lock won't work anymore..... Key's been pretty stiff for a while but now it's frigged... Looked underneath and see that the little pin engages when the key is turned but it no longer lines up with the hole. It sees as though the angle has changed and now the pin won't go in?? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
CK

You can move it with a small flathead screw driver. Had to do it to mine after trying to hurry off the bike and forcing the key.

WD40 the Key area and the dead bolt area under the neck of the bike. Will then work perfectly forever.

If it is an alignment issue, you can remove the label ring by heating and gently prying it off. You will find the fork lock/ignition has a retaining ring with four dimples on the face. Harley has a specialty tool for removal of this retaining ring. I was able to use the tips of angled needle nose pliers inserted in two opposing dimples to loosen the ring.

I made the mistake of completely removing the ring allowing the switch to fall into the neck. It was a
b!tch to retrieve it and get the ring threaded on the switch again.

I ahd a recall on my 09 UC fork lock. They fixed it for free. I was lucky and mine broke open. Many had theirs break while locked and had to be towed. Call your dealer they may fix it for nada.

Mine has been to the dealer twice for this problem, and it does not lock now, so next time I am in the neighborhood, guess what...that's right, they will work on it again.

Default Fork Lock

I had trouble with my fork lock/ignition when I first bought the bike. The key would go in but wouldn't turn without working it around. A little dry graphite grease fixed it for good. Just an idea...
