Pulled the trigger on a custom sharknose (2009 Road Glide)!!
That's right guys...traded in the 2008 cross bones for a 2009 Road Glide. This is what happens when friends let friends drive their new Road Glide. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Cross Bones regardless of what other people thought but this is just a different level of bike.
Drove from Raleigh NC to Waynesville NC in the Great Smokey Mountains (5 hrs) to pick this bike up. I got beat the hell up going down (on the cross bones) but the ride back was nothing short of amazing (on the Road Glide).
Anyways...all I can say is I absolutely love this bike....ugly shark nose fairing (as some call it), stereo, cruise, ABS security and all! haha
I snapped a few pics this morning to share. The bike wasn't perfectly clean...had a few bugs on the front but oh well...you get the idea...hope you enjoy them:

"a different level of bike" well said my friend.
My softail buddies couldn't understand why I traded a perfectly good one year old Fat Boy for a Touring bike.
I just told them because I had never ridden a Touring bike before..............DAMN those demo ride days. LOL
man that's a beauty. i'm envious. the first year that the sharknose has had tasteful pinstriping rather than some thick gaudy stripe. perfect color too, although there is something in the chemical make up of vivid black that attracts bugs. i've got an 08 street glide, and was trying to trade it in on a vivid black roadglide. didn't work out, so i'll stick with what i got for now. supposedly from what i hear they're gonna be eliminating the roadglide this year. to be replaced by a tour glide, i suppose is a ultra roadglide version. good for you. sure is a great choice indeed. have fun, ride safe.
Sweet ride (I may be a little partial - see sig pic)! Are those Hogg Chopps lowers? Also, do you know where he got the black front end and engine guards?
