well being in the collector and hot rod hobby for years I have to agree... Someone is trying to pound sunshine up someone elses azz... If it was a numbers matching car then maybe its worth 60k but I didnt even bother to run look anywhere just because he wants to trade for a bike that isnt worth near what his car is.. It may very well have been a non rust car so thats a plus but ill tell ya for the amount of time you would prolly spend driving around in the thing id rather have a bike... Collector car insurance limits you to driving for cruising only and to shows and stuff no running to the store and all that crap... Id be the one to have a problem and they would find out... Insurance is pretty cheap because of their rules.. Then comes the cleaning maintainence and all the other associated minuses.. Keep your bike...

I would not trade the bike for the mustang, but then again I hate ford. If it were a 69 Camaro SS Yenko, then hell yeah! Classic cars have taken a huge hit with the economy so I wouldn't doubt that this is a real deal. My boss's father in-law just purchased an all original '70 GTO for $10,000. This guy started out asking $30,000 and the father in-law cought him on a bad day (good day for the father in-law) and stole it. The guy was going through a divorce and had to give his wife/ex-wife half of what he could sell the car for.

If it was the real deal (run the VIN, match the numbers!) and not a clone I'd love to have it. If it's a clone it would still be nice to have just for ***** and giggles but it won't be worth near that.

Yenko big block--yeah baby but you are dating yourself big time. With that crazy stripe they had! Remember Baldwin Motion motors and those mouse and elephant engines they made back in the day? No substitute for cubic inches!

Dating myself? I was born more than a decade after that car would have been built, I was just born in the wrong era! And you are right, there is no replacement for displacement!

Man, it's not quite what I remember a '69 Mach I looking like (I thought they had the openings in front of the rear fenders to cool the brakes), and it's a 351, not a 390, but damn, I think I'd go for it!

A deal is a good deal if you get the best side of it.

Trade a $20,000 bike plus $10,000 for a car that later sells for $45,000 and you made a good deal.

Make the same trade and find out you have a POS worth $12,000 and you made a bad deal.

Know your product and check it out, then have fun!
