Default Road light adjustment Idea

While out on a ride the other day, It dawned on me the, the light on the side you are turning to gets lower, thus not able to shine where you need it. So, by making the road lights crosseyed, the light on the high side will shine higher when going into a turn and correct that problem. By having them adjusted down in distance going straight, they will not offend the oncoming traffic, but be there, when you need them in a corner. Any comments on this idea? I know it's late.

I think I need a diagram.

The normal adjustment is for the lights to shine straight ahead. I'm suggesting to make the right light shine in the left light area and left light shine in the right lights area. Thus making them look crosseyed. But when riding, as you lean for a corner, the light on the high side of the bike will shine into the corner a little more.

Nice concept but I would expect a lot of angry oncoming cagers when you are going straight unless you point down very close to the bike also.

I think it makes sense. Do it. And if cars get mad, at least you know they see you.

If you leave them that way very long, you'll have to get corrective lenses for your glasses

That is not the "normal" adjustment--check your service manual. The left spot shines down in front of the headlight, and the right light shines down and to the right. Neither one shines into the left lane.

I have mine adjusted so that the left shines down and to the left, and the right shines down and to the right, to help light up the roadside eyeballs when riding in deer country. Took my bike in for service once and when they were down, they had readjusted them to specs...so since then I had the service manager write on the ticket "DO NOT ADJUST SPOTS!"

Your idea is interesting. How is it working?

Picture attached showing mine.

I haven't done it yet. I will when I get the new HID headlight installed some time next week. But since it's raining this afternoon in Puerto Rico, I guess I got time now. Ride safe.
