Default Syn3 or Amsoil

Coming up to my 1000 mile inspection. Definitely going with Syn3 in the crank and primary. Any thoughts on putting Amsoil in the tranny or better to stick with the same lube throughout. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I did amsoil 20 -50 M/C in motor, redline in tranny, drag specialties primary oil in primary. This from my local bike shop recomendation .Bike shop recomended mobil one vtwin for motor.I wanted Amsoil. These guys been building and services H/D s for many years.Harley recomends Syn 3 in all compartments, Amsoil recomends 20-50M/c in all compartments. The choice is up to you. Probably cant go wrong any way you go. All very good oils.

I use amsoil 20W50 in the engine and severe gear lube in the trans.

I was using amsoil in my MB E320 but switched to castol 5W-40W. It is just easier to walk into a store and buy oil vs mess with ordering from Amsoil and spending alot of money on shipping. I am not sure if I will stay with Amsoil in the bike or switch to Sny 3 for the same reason. it seam like everyone wants to be an Amsoil dealer.

SYN3 is Citgo today. who knows what it will be next time they negotiate with a canner.
Redline VTwin Transmission Lube is awesome and available at Cycle Gear. I use Mobil 1 15W50 and black WIX filters as I can get it anywhere. HD filters are Purolator, why pay the big bucks just to get black or chrome?

Plenty of science if you search the forum and read some of the lengthier posts on oil choices...but Amsoil 20-50 engine/primary, 75-110 in the trans. No complaints. Will probably try Redline next change. Wouldn't put a Citgo product in my lawnmower.

Mobil V-twin 20-50 in the crank. Mobil 1 75-140 in the tranny and syn 3 in the primary (just cause I have about 6 qts of it left and needed to use it). when gone, will be mobil 1 20-50 in primary as well.

Of the two, I would go Amsoil. Although, I run Redline myself.
