I bought Se255 cams, used jugs to bore, forged pistons for 103", (in case I go nuts later, and change cams) gaskets, adjustable pushrods, should be all set to build a torquer! Will be accompanied by Jackpot mufflers, AC and PCIII. I am expecting 100+ to 105 torque , 85+ hp. Sound good? All for my 2008 RK

yeah, well if you like the twisty thing on the handlebars, be prepared to replace tires every 5000 miles if you are running 402s or at least that is what I have run into anyway......
Yep, lookin for a two day rain, should do it! I am retired so I have all day.
Glad to hear you wore the tire off that quick; because it means you are putting a ton of power through that rear tire! Our builds are almost identical, did you set the compression up any? What was the deck hieght of the piston? I am staying with the Jackpot slipons, may boost compression to 9.9, dyno tune to get the spark right for that much squeeze I believe is my tuners idea.

Just had the SE 103'' kit installed at the dealer as well as a SERT. Chose to keep the stock headers but did go to V&H Basic Slipons. Have 400 mi and will have 500 by early tomorrow. I'll do an oil change and start slowly increasing rpm's above 3000. It pulls like a freight train and engine spools up in a hurry with much less throttle input. I'm not interested in speed as much as torque. This setup does exactly that. I'm still at 42 mpg during break in.
I have this set up and it's a pulling machine! The heads were done along with the 103 build. I think it was worth it to do it all at the same time. Good luck and enjoy.
Saw*me do you think that the heads add enough to make it worth the cost... Anybody, I just did the 103" Stage II and while I love the power, I caught the bug. Is sending my heads off to Big Boyz or Hillside to have my heads done worth the cost... I wouldn't be doing it until winter but still always thinking about it in the back of my mind. Any thoughts?
