as stated before, I'm a brand new baby rookie Harley owner and my head is spinning on a swivel looking and listening to what everyone says as I try to figure out what the hell is going on and what I should do with my bike.
Ok here's the deal: I went to the ROT Rally in Austin and there was a performance company there from out-of-state with a couple of 18 wheelers and other big rigs. They had a dyno, showroom floor type displays, and everything that goes with it with them. High-speed looking operation. The tech/salesman I talked to told me that they haven't made a PCV for my bike yet and it wouldn't work. He also told me Auto Tune wouldn't work either. He did say I needed PCIII and then have it dynoed. He also told me the hype about the '09 headpipes were false and that I needed TD's. He was pushing the BUB 7 TD system, although he had RH's and V&H's as well.
Oh, I originally told him I thought I wanted BUB 7 slipons on my stock headers, K&N heavy breather, and PCV with Auto Tune....then he went into his spill which totally sent me into a tail spin. I've seen a lot of folks on here with PCV on their '09s. Was he talking about the 103? I forgot to ask him that.
Drag Specialties had a similar set up down at the local HD dealership parking lot. I had to chuckle when I couldn't bring myself to walk over and ask their opinion/advise for fear for being told more conflicting info and sending me into a total meltdown haha
Call Jamie or Keith at Fuel Moto. They are most assuredly NOT crooks and will give you the straight scoop.
The 103 has nothing to do with it...you can run the PCV on your bike, the guy probably didn't have any in his trailer to sell you so he made up that story.

Probly wanted to get reid of his over stalked PCIII heeheehee.....
Would this company happen to be Cycle Solutions??? If so I wouldn't trust a damn thing they do or say. I had a dyno run done by them last year at Delmarva and my Stage 1 run numbers were lower than what a stock 96" are. Think that is their way of trying to sell parts and tunes.
this is good to know, but it just pisses me off to no end how some people conduct their business. I'm so thankful for the Fuelmoto Jamie's and the C&C Chuck's in the world who are successful in business because they genuinely care about the product they sell and genuinely take care of the customer they sell it to. I went with my C&C seat because of Chuck, and I will go with Fuelmoto because of Jamie when the time comes.
It also pisses me off that the guy would deliberately take advantage of my ignorance, because I tell people up front when I ask them questions that I am a new Harley owner and I know nothing. I do this because if I walk in somewhere and try to act like I know what I want/need and I know what I'm talking about, it will take them about 2 minutes flat to realize I don't know anything anyway...and then I'd look like a goofball squirrel wannabe that didn't know anything, instead of a regular 'ol guy who just bought his 1st Harley and doesn't know anything.
I've depended heavily on this forum and I really appreciate the advise and input from all the wise and experienced folks here. Maybe one of these days I'll know my sh*t and can help bring another rookie along thru the maze and labrinth of the Harley aftermarket journey. Thanks again!!

He's either a liar or grossly misinformed. The PCIII won't fit an '09 touring bike, and TD's with their good looks and sound will hurt performance, not help it. The PCV will fit any '02-'09 Harley Big Twin (not sure about Sporties), as will AT as long as you have O2-sensor bungs in your exhaust.
Your best bet is to buy a PCV (with or without AT) from Fuel Moto with whatever slip-ons you choose. DT Jackpots will likely give you the best performance boost from among the slip-on options, equal (or very near) to a 2-into-1 system.
