Probably because that can get expensive after awhile! Peroxide is pretty cheap in comparison (you can get a gallon of it at Walgreens for under $1).

I typically use this stuff called The Bom on my bike. For a quick clean it works pretty well. For a more detailed clean I wash normally, do a spot dry, use The Bom, then wax it up.

Don't be so cheap and go buy some decent bug remover spray. One large bottle for less than 8$ gets me through bug season. Even H-D bug remover isn't that expensive.
