Need Stereo Help/Opinions
Jim
Find rear speaker pods to install on your classic (like the Ultra) and upgrade those speakers as well.
When you install the 6.5's up behind the dash - install dynamat to the outter fairing that increases bass quite a bit.
I would do those changes - ride it a bit... then if you still want more bass you can run an amp to those rear speakers as well (mount the amp in the tourpak)... then if you still want more bass after that - you can run a sub in your tourpak or speakers in each saddlebag
I too wanted a big stereo - but i ride long distances and didnt want to give up any of my storage so i wont install anything in my tourpak/saddle bags
another option is to install lower fairings like the ultra - and you can mount speakers in each glovebox compartment
I did a ton of homework before deciding which stereo to go with...I like the hogtunes, and i like the hogpod... but i think hogtunes is over priced for the amount of power/sound you get. But thats just my opinion.
Bought Hogtunes speakers, amp, tweeter pod, and listen to an ipod, but not unlike everybody else, I want more bass. Was thinking about getting a subwoofer. Even if I might not be able to hear alot of bass over 55 mph, thought I might be able to feel some thumpin' & that might satisfy my bass need.
--Anybody got a subwoofer?
--Where did/would you put it on the bike? Inside TourPak?
--Which subwoofer did/would you get?
--Can the battery handle any extra power needed for a subwoofer?
Thanks & looking forward to your opinions.

Don't get me wrong, I like my tunes on the scooter, but I'm not going to install mono block Mark Levinson amps, Martin Logan speakers, Velodyne sub to get better sound either.
