Default Which radio?

I have an 06 electra glide standard and have been looking at both the offical harley radio set and the one that biketronics has to offer. Which one works the best and is easiest to install. I am pretty handy with a screw driver but am not an expert on electronics. I understand the harley system is plug and play.
thanks for any input!

Well I believe they are both good units. If you want the HD radio its going to cost you over $1000 for just the radio where the biketronics kit will come in under $500(depending on which radio you want.

If you think you would want to add the gps, bluetooth, xm satelite radio and so one they all cost more but with the exception of the satelite are not available with the biketronics at this time.

Hope this helped

Harley, over a grand

Biketronics, less than half, equal to if not better quality

IMO no comparison save your $ for more stuff on the ride

Don't forget the Hogtunes speakers, no matter which unit you go with

well, after reviewing the 2 responses, I just ordered the unit from Biketronics, including the hog tunes. Now if I can install it all will be fine. Any suggestions on which antenna to get? This unit comes with a concealed antenna, but they suggested a permanent antenna installed for maximum coverage.

anybody got any pics while installing a biketronics kit? I'm thinking of going with the retro radio kit.

All plug and play, should be real simple.

Check out a Tunetrapper fairing antenna. It mounts on the inside of the fairing and from what I have read up on here, it works great.

You can get it here http://www.ecshylites.com/page/page/761353.htm

CE MAX...

What Sony deck did you go with?

I went with the 400 series. If figured for the extra $20.00 is is worth being able to change the screen color.
