Man 13 mpg that is crazy, either you are not filling the tank, calculating wrong or something is big time wrong.

FrogMy last bike was a 103 with over100 hp and got the mileage you describe. What you may not have considered is different riding conditions. My first two tanks of fuel were used riding to and from work in downtown Chicago. About 1mile each way, stop signs, slow traffic, lots of idleing, lots of gun n go. I do ride hard but the first two tanks were just like that stop and go. I do not usually check gas mileage, I just happen to remember the first two tanks as I too thought they were low, but given the circimsatances my suspicions were not aroused...

13mpg, I think you would flag a check engine light for rich condition if your actually riding the bike and it's not just started every half hour to hear it run. If you got a little over 150 miles out of a tank and the light didn't come on reguardless of what the guage said, i'm sure your at least in the 30's.

You ar 100# corectt I caint spell fer chit. Pick on the guy foor his spelling, nice... What is so hard to understand stop and go all the time, no highway miles, and pushing the bike to the rev limiter most shifts. Why would I make this chit up. The bike has about 800 miles now. Just switched all three holes to red line. I did not see any significant shavings on the magnet so all is good. I will check the fuel consumption now that it is broken in and report back to all of you.
