HK Radio Question

Picked up a used 07 SG. Noticed on the radio sometimes when I first start the bike that if I try to change stations it wont change(using soft buttons ). I have to turn the radio off then on and then it changes stations just fine. Also, this does not happen every time. Am I doing something in the wrong order or is it just the radio ?
Not a big problem just wondering ?

Hmmm...I noticed mine acting the same way just the other day, 09 SG so must be a HK thing.

Try pulling the fuse for awhile, sometimes I've hear this helps reset things. I had the volume up button not work, only would go down and Firecape501 (Wayne) pointed me to pulling the fairing and take connections off and clean them and it solved that problem. I used CRC Electric stuff.

sign of a radio going bad. Thats how mine started.

Is there a disc in the unit? With a disc in the unit, the radio will not respond to external commands until the discs data is read. The disc takes priority over other functions. Once the data is read, the unit will return to normal operating functions. Be sure the unit is carrying the 8.19 version software. This will usually keep that symptom to a minimum.
