The heat has arrived here in North Texas and the pinging is back. I know there is a product
called Rocket Fuel and it works well but I cant always get it. What other additives do you guys suggest. Thanks.

A good dyno tune.
Octane Boost at Pep Boys, Oreilly and such.

I run 93 and winter or summer I never get ping. I know its as hot here as it is in Texas. Whats up? Do you think the summer blend of fuel is causing it?

I buy the same fuel from the same place summer and winter and only get a ping in the summer time. They say its the heat and bad fuel. I always use 93 oct.

Folks around here recommend Seafoam. Our HD dealer uses it.

i use the best i can get at shell. no pings yet, and it's been hotter than hell here in oklahoma.

What does the pinging sound llike? I've never heard it that I know of . Is it that obvious when it happens?
