Did you know that once you turn the EITMS on it stays on until you turn it off? Before you can turn it on everytime you get on the bike you would first need to turn it off every time also.
I thought that at first but in talking to the sales rep and reading the manual, it appeared that you had to turn it on every time you started the bike. It was my impression that every time you started the bike you had to turn it on. Not saying you're wrong - just saying that's what I understood from those two sources. If that's incorrect, I'll change my habits.
putting more fuel to it will help cool it down some, synthetic oil will also help, but if your right thigh is getting hot you may need one of our crotch coolers. It has a large foot print to help keep the heat off of your thighs as you have mentioned.Low speed or stop and go traffic can be pretty rough on you,our crotch coolers will definitely help.Check out our website we are offering a $10.00 rebate with each order until the 4 th of July..My wife must be crazy..have a great weekend
EITMS does stay on once it is on.
I ride pretty much everyday regardless of temp. I rode yesterday 100+ no heat problems, hit and sat at every red light at 1:00 in college station I think.
I have:
factory pro stage 1
Redline synthetic
Hd Oil cooler
If you were to look at the size of those deflectors I do not think that they will do you much good as far as sitting in traffic. They are for deflecting more air around the back cylinder while driving as far as I can tell. Please correct me if I am am wrong.
I've not really felt the heat problem on my 09 SG here in the 100 degree Oklahoma heat. Not anymore than my 02 Road King anyway, and I have not done any modes to the bike yet. But when I test rode an 09 Ultra last year, I FELT the heat, and the difference is the lower fairings. It was fine above 25mph, but a little warm when I was riding slower than that. You might consider taking off the lowers until September or a road trip. At least try it because it doesn't cost anything except an hour of your time.
EITMS? Please explain the function. I twist my throttle forward at stop lights and nothing changes
Very cool feature. Check out I think page 145 of the owners manual. I was told that the ignition has to be on but bike not running to turn it off or on but that may not be correct. Its possible you can turn it off or on while setting idleing at a stoplight which I would think would be better.
