Has anyone put together a good parts list for rigging the intercom and rear speakers on an '09 Road Glide? Since it's already got the switches, hand controls, and wiring harness, what exactly do you need to buy, and more importantly, how much does it cost?

Not sure but shouldn't be much if any difference in parts needed exept for part number differences. I added this thread https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...arts-list.html when I put intercom/spearkers/CB on my 07 RG. There were a lot of incorrect numbers and items in catalog that you either didn't need or were listed wrong. This is one of the main reasons for putting this thread in here. If you have any mechanical ability at all you can do it yourself. Also fish ebay for items. Hope this helps.

Does the radio need to be flashed for just adding the rear speakers? I have no intention of using CB or intercom functions on my 08 EGC.

The rear speakers are always active if you connect to the output. The thing that would need to be flashed is the fader control. If you dont activate the fader, front and rear will be equalized.
My parts catalog just arrived from Chicago H-D. It's amazing what you can suss out just by looking at the diagrams.
First thing is, you don't need a new console for the '08+. The center console is the same for all models except the Street Glide - the center trim piece pops out and can be replaced with the intercom port. I'll look up the P/N later today.
All the other parts look to be the same from the earlier baggers. I'm going to go pick the brains of the local service guys in the next day or two and get the definitive gouge on wiring/electrical.
I should have qualified the comment, it was the most useless for ME. I ride solo 95% of the time and the rear speakers didn't do anything to make the radio sound better for me.

So your answer would be ................?
the radio needs to be flashed for the controls to operate correctly? ie - fader balance, etc.
