I’m having similar issues with my M8 softail. Almost sounds like primary noise. I’ll take it to dealer early next week and let them take it for s quick spin and get their opinion. Anyone else with similar on a M8

Mine has had noise between 2000- 3000 rpm sence new. It been dynoed a few times tried different lifters, different preload on push rods, Different brands of oil and.noise is still there. Its deffently quieter with non synthetic oil.
I have been told by many it's normal. Twin cams make noise. Just make sure that's not a exhaust leak.

I've had a number of bikes that made that noise at that RPM, including my current RoadKing. Never had a problem.

There is a cure for twin cams (see my website)

For the M8 Harley originally had the same top end arrangement as the TC engine. Before final production they changed to a system where the bolt goes through the shaft rather than next to it. This stopped the rocker shaft tapping.

Did I mention they had my product in hand while developing the M8?
