I am looking at getting a touring pack for the back of my 09 Electra Glide. I may only use it a couple of times a year. I already read on here to use the trunk mount instead of the curved rack that they offer so you can run a full size bag on it. I have looked at some of the stuff from Kurakyn, T-Bags and saddleman but I am curious as to what some of you guys are running.
One thing i wish it had was locking zippers and quick way to lock the easy straps..
But other besides that I love it. A bonus is the insulated cup holders it provides. .Great in the rain as well.
I try not to put too much heavy stuff in the top bag, just things like rain gear and other bulky light stuff.
So far it fits well with the touring rack, and offers the MAX space for those 2-3 week trips.
I have used cool sac for years. Excellent products, great folks to deal with. ie if you have a cool sac for a specific bike and change the bike, they will modify it to fit your new bike free.....
I use my trusty US Army Duffel Bag. Bungee it down and away I go. I just put it in the passenger seat and I'm good. I put the light stuff like rain suits in the smal bag on my luggage rack.
Dekker supreme
I have several bags made by different company's all of which do what I got them for but the Dekker supreme is the one I use the most. Easy on and off, holds enough to get through the longest ride. They really are handy if your wife likes to pick up stuff on the trip like mine does.
