Just picked up my second bike, an '09 Electra Glide Classic. Ran the break in mileage (1,000) in 6 days and just got her back from the break-in service.
I also have an '00 Softail. It started life as a Standard but I put some pep in her step by going SE from electronics to intake, to 95" and out the back with SE slip ons. Never regretted a dollar spent. The bike is quick!
Now that I'm on a brand new "high-tech" ride, I'm wondering what's out there for giving it some true brute. I'm an IT guy, so my tools don't cut it on one of these bad boys.
I see HD has the 103" kit, probably run me in the mid 3's after adding the wrenching.
My buddy recommends going simple, with Woods Cams and some exhaust. I'm looking for some brute force though, not just a few more ponies. My Softail dyno'd at 98 horse with 101 torque. I'm going to need more than that for this haus! I'm wanting to fully seated in the 100+ horsepower club. :-)
that's not going to get you brute force--it's not bad but if you truly want brute force without breaking the bank----try a 107 from R&R, Hillside, GMR, Zippers or HQs. You may also want to check out S&S (106) and AMS (105)

Just realized how old my initial posts are on this site. I had joined to get some scoop on upgrades to my new ride, the '09 and... well, I must have decided to ride it instead. :-)
Now this !#$# snow keeps getting in my way. (grrrr)
Guess now is a good time to check back in and see what's going on, maybe make some plans for those pipes and performance mods.
