Sorry to hear about your engine. The whole thing does not sound good. Glad you where a HOG member and they came through for you. Hope HD warranty's the engine. Sounds like a rebuild or a new one in your future

The engine oil seal was the first thing to fail on my 07 EG.
At least yours in still under warrenty...

Well, at least by it being just an 08 the fix-it bill should be on the MOCO!

real sorry to hear that not much milage for that to happen are you running dino or syn
hope it works out for you good luck and post the results i have a 06 with 19ks on it

...sounds like the oil pump took a dixie...crunching noise could be gears eating themselves......sorry to hear it man...let us know what you/they find....

running mobil v twin 20/50 and that was my thoughts too (jmacdonald5) the pump crapped out considering the pressure dropping like it did

Terrible news! I hope the warranty covers you, and you get everything squared away. Please keep us posted, and best wishes on getting this fixed. Man, with 72K on my bike, you've got me seriously nervous.
