Default engine trashed

so cruising down the highway and notice engine oil pressure has dropped to 16 lbs while doing highway speed, hard to tell but it seemed to be pulling hard too and hotter than normal, pulled into a gas station, down abit on oil so put in some to bring it up full, pulled out on the road and really pulling hard now, blowing smoke out the pipes as well, limped into town and pulled into a motel parking lot, no oil pressure now and rattling big time from the bottom end, oil now everywhere when I coast to a stop, not looking good for the engine right now ...........24,430 km's total

That blows big time. What year and model is it? I can't imagine how sh1tty I would feel if that happened to my scoot. I sure wish you the best of luck with repairs.

That sounds bad. You say oil everywhere. Can you tell where it is coming from?

Wow that's one of a biker's worst nitemares! Let us know what ends up being the cause. That's very low mileage for such an event - barely broken in!

That is scary low mileage. That's not much more than what I have on mine.

2008 Ultra.......yeah I typed that little burlb while waiting for my wife to come and pick me up some 3 hours away from home, the oil was dripping from the bottom of the engine but I think there was so much of it around the engine itself it was leaking downhill, so not really sure where it was coming from, got to hand it to HOG for their quick attention to my plight, they delivered what they said in the time frame of about an hour, tow tuck dude was really good and because of the late hour was going to put the rig in the shop till the morning and then haul it to the harley shop 4 hours away, btw the engine sounded like crunching up tin foil but only louder before I shut it down, gonna b a week before they can look at it so we'll keep you all updated as to what is found
