just picked my bike up from its 1,000 mile service and this thing runs twice as good as it did when i dropped it off.... they also changed out my 8 injectors and put the 25's in (maybe thats the difference) but it purrs now...... and they even fixed my windshield clip so theres no chance of it blowing off.....
Taking my 06 Road King in for it's 1K service on June 5. How can I tell which injectors are installed now? Are they supposed to change to the 25's if the bike was built with the 8's?
If your bike was built after feb 2006 you have the 25 degree injectors. There is another post on how to locate the date your bike was built. Mine was built pre feb 06 so I have the 8's. No problems just yet as some people have discussed in other posts. My dealer told me that if there is a problem they will change them out. If no problems they dont change them. Cool with me. Like I said, the 8's run just fine for me...

Do a search, there was a thread about this yesterday. It also had p/n's and info .
My dealer told me to schedule my 1K service three weeks before I estimate I'll reach 1,000 miles. That's how booked up the service department is. Except for my bike taking 3 weeks longer than expected to arrive, I've got to say they treated me pretty good. Gave me 15% off on anything in the store, 10% off on the mods,(paid list MSRP on the bike) and when I picked up the bike back on monday I found out that they threw in the factory security system at no charge! Time will tell how good the service department is, but so far so good.
This dealership I didnt have to make an appointment for the 1,000 mile service - as long as you get it in by 8am they will do it that day.
This is the 1st thing I have been pleased with from this dealership unfortunately.
However if you are located in the Baltimore area call 1 of the 2 dealerships in the immediate vicinity and they will do your services same day w/ no appointment.
