Default bat wing fairing for 2005 Road King

Looking for a bat wing fairing to add to my road king. Any suggestions as to quality, price, etc?

Dead center cycles makes the best one. Mine is 2 years old and is solid, doesn't vibrate at all like the dragonfly and the speakers are much nicer than any others on the market.

Tons of choices for good fairings. Kuryakyn, Dragonfly, Dead Center, Hoppe Industries, Woody's Fairings, plus imports. Priced from low $600s w/you installing the radio radio to well over $2000 w/radio installed.

Blitz, If you have a chance, try to ride a bike with one, or do you know anyone you can borrow the detachable batwing from so you can try it out on your bike? I wish I had done that prior to buying mine. I would not have spent the money. Just one man's opinion, but I did not care for the batwing. It really doesn't add that much more protection then the windshield and I don't care for the 'closed in' feeling. As for tunes; I use ear buds with my Zumo. I know your going to get a lot of folks telling you that these fairings are the greatest thing since sliced bread, and to each his own, but if you haven't tried one you may be dissapointed. And that's an expensive experiment.

I absolutely love my Dead Center Fairing. Got it (like new) used off the classifieds right here. Had it painted to match my scoot, and it's all good. Great tunes, and rock solid with the LOCK! The people at Dead Center are the most customer oriented folks I've ever met. They really reach out to help no matter what the issue. Can't speak to other units, though I looked at them all, and the Dead Center was the one I really wanted. There used to be a place you could get 20% on a new Dead Center, and I think I've got it stored somewhere. PM if you decide to go that route and I'll find the info and shoot it over to you. (After Sturgis Run)

Good choice on the batwing, only had my add on batwing for 2 weeks now, but I love it so far. Good luck deciding, listen to some of the guys with the stereo options and speakers. They've had them a while, and you don't want to buy it twice or buy a crappy one.
