Ok guys ....... Early 09 Ultra with about 7500 miles..... front tire is cupping bad and I have a low speed wobble ... goes in tomorrow..... what do you think they'll tell me.
I had the same problem on my 08 Rk with about 8 k on it. I did a self test on the neck bearing tightness/looseness and found that mine were incredible loose. It was a pretty quick fix...about an hour at the dealer and it was fixed. Well it was for the most part, the cupped tire will have to be replaced to completely get rid of it after the neck bearing is adjusted. The mechanic ended up torkn the bearing down slightly more than moco recommends to compensate for the wobble. OVerall take a breath, cause they said the magic words "Under Warranty" to me when I checked out. Good luck!!!!

PS +1 to the tire pressure comment. Good tip.
???? how do you check or what do i look for on neck bearings?

For a simple check, when stationary apply the front brake and rock the bike back and forth. You may hear or feel a knock from the neck. Alternatively jack the bike up so the front wheel is off the ground. Grab the lower fork legs and pull/push them when you will feel and hear movement at the neck.
As the bike is booked in let an expert check for you! Sounds like your bike is under warranty so you should be OK. Be prepared to fit a new tyre though. Let us know how you get on!
The D407F you have on the front is a known "going to cup" tire. It was replaced with the D408F. Don't expect HD to replace the tire under warranty.
If your neck bearings are shot and you can prove it ended up screwing up the tire somehow then maybe just maybe HD will give you a new tire. Let's hope.
In any case, don't let them put a 407F back on. Go for the 408F.
I conducted a diff check than posted. Jack your bike up on a stationary rack that lifts from the frame. Disconnect your Clutch cable(important). Pull handle bars all the way left or right and release. Your bars should come to a stop on the third swing. When I check mine, it swung six times. Also, if it swings only one or twice they are to tight. Its in the service manual, I would recommend getting one GOOD LUCK let us know what it was
