I went the slow route on this one but I think I got a pretty good deal.
I went by a shop here in the burg to check on getting some jugs bored form 88 to 95. You might have heard of the guy,Jim McClure(the son) said he could do the upgrade for around $850 parts and labor. The stealer wants around $1500 for the kit installed. I thought this guy knows a whole lot more then I will ever know and I jumped on the deal. I had to buy a PCIII from Jamie(thanks) for less then $300 and I got him to change the oil also. Total $886 + 290(PC)=$1176 and I helped him with the PCIII to get the bike close. The slow way was it took about three weeks to get it done but what a difference. I swear it will almost pull the front wheel off the ground if I hit second hard. The other day with my girl friend on the back it spun third gear(she thought the seat was loose). It will cruise at 80mph pulling 3700 rpms and all I still have more throttle.
Glad I got a windshield to keep the bugs out of my teeth.
1999 Ultra FI, SE A/C, PCIII, True Duals, and stock mufflers with the plugs knocked out.
Congrats!!! Most of the time I'm pretty happy with mine, power wise, but every once-in-a-while it would sure be nice to be able to really kick it in the ***. Ride safe.
